The Best Beaches You Can Reach by Rental Car

Aruba's most beautiful beaches are spread around the island, and the best ones aren't always next to the big hotels. A rental car turns a half-day at one beach into an island-hopping beach crawl. Here are the stretches worth driving to.
Eagle Beach
Wide, white and famous for its twin fofoti trees, Eagle Beach is regularly ranked among the best beaches in the world. Plenty of free parking and an easy 10-minute drive from Oranjestad.
Palm Beach
The lively side: calm water, watersports, restaurants and beach bars. Great for families and an easy paved drive. Arrive early in high season for parking.
Baby Beach (San Nicolas)
At the island's southern tip, this shallow, sheltered lagoon is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. It's a 40-minute drive from the hotel area, exactly the kind of trip a rental makes effortless.
Arashi Beach & the California Lighthouse
Up in the northwest, Arashi offers clear water and good snorkeling, with the iconic California Lighthouse just up the road for sunset. Paved most of the way; the final stretches reward an SUV.
The Natural Pool (Conchi)
Inside Arikok National Park, this rock-rimmed tidal pool is one of Aruba's most unforgettable swims, and it takes a 4x4 over rough terrain to get there (or a guided tour). If you want to self-drive, ask us about the Suzuki Jimny.
How to do it all
Pick up a car for a few days, plan a north-to-south loop, and you'll see more of Aruba than any single tour. Tex Cars & Leasing delivers your car to you anywhere on the island and collects it when you're done. Fair rates, booked in one WhatsApp message.
